This week over at SimpleMom for Project Simplify, we were given the freedom to choose whatever space we wanted to simplify. I chose the laundry room. Then I went upstairs to our beautiful classroom- except I couldn’t find it. Spring Break was very, very bad. The kids reverted the classroom to a playpen, and I was so stressed about it the week I had my neck injury that we had school in the dining room.
You can see what drove me to the dining room-
Six kids sure know how to wreck a room!
Luckily mom knows how to fix it-
We needed some more table room, so we moved the “tiny table” for Emma, Evan and Leah up and put it where the toy box had been. The blank wall space will have First Language Lessons poems and parts of speech reminders on it.
I also moved the calendar over, and put up a much needed (although small) white board.
The toy box and Legos moved into the area going into the bedrooms.
And I couldn’t say I was doing the laundry room without actually doing it, could I?
As you can see, our laundry room is a very small space. It is easy to get out of hand.
Our repurposed, in desperate need of paint cabinets.
A quick purge, a sweep and mop later-
I should totally get bonus points!
