Grit

Here it is-my very first 5 minute Friday. I have been seeing this, and have seen some wonderful writing. I thought today wouldn’t be the day to jump in, but the words came anyway. Here we go.

5-minute-friday-1

Grit.

It’s something that I thought I had. I’m tough perhaps, but sometimes life throws you for a curve when you least expect it.

It has happened before, and it happened again.

This girl who self-proclaims grit has been scared for the past few weeks.

Health nags.

Why not me? I am not promised a long life, a life without troubles, or cares. I am promised a home in the future without these things, but that day doesn’t seem to be today. I don’t suppose the Lord would return without my knowledge. I’m sure I will get some sort of talking to when the time does come.

Today however, I mustered up as much grit as I could, prayed, and walked into the unknown. I hate peering inside my body-you never know what will be found.

Today, however, all was fine.

And I am so grateful for that.

Thank you Lord, for more time to learn your Word, my husband, and my children.

Thank you for more time to improve me.

Stop

Wow! I have been going through something similar this past month. Kinda scary. Shook me up and made me realize how my every heartbeat is in God’s hand. Thankfully I got good news on my heart yesterday but still more tests to run. I thought I was healthy as a horse!

  2. Sam! So fun to see you here joining in! I’m so sorry the health nags, and I can relate to wondering if I have the grit I need to. I’m so glad everything looks good, and like you, I’m so thankful for God’s Word and my family. Have a blessed day!

It’s really nice to know that someone is very grateful for the everyday life that God has given to him/her. Let’s just leave it all up to Him because he had plans…
