Every Friday we write for five minutes, spilling our words onto page. This week was very tough for me. I don’t know why. I’ll admit I went back and changed some things. I didn’t write for more than five minutes though.

The Lord is light, living trying to follow His ways should shine light for others to follow, that they may live in the light as well.

Do you hide your light?

Sometimes in this world of the internet, we find ourselves holding back.

Afraid that others will not accept us. Or at least I do.

I believe the Bible has the answers to our Salvation. Not man.

Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. Matthew 7:15

Are you following the untampered Word, or variations away from God’s Word; the movements of mere men?

Don’t follow the teachings of a man. Follow the pure teachings of the ultimate teacher; He will never steer you wrong.

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5

I have trouble baring my soul — more in person than online — but I do understand the “hiding your light” question.

(More well than I want to admit.)
Although — before I merged my two other blogs, I DEFINITELY hid my light — afraid to be too bold. But ever since I started My Journey to Authenticity, I have felt free to truly be myself.

Where my biggest struggle is in my professional life, and in my community.
I have a feeling God’s about to blow the lid off of that one!! :)

Scripture breaks us open, reveals truth revelation, opens perspective in a way no one can. I’m your neighbor today at FMF, nice to visit with you as we end our week and walk toward the cross on Sunday.
