We always let the kids open their “Secret Santa” gifts on Christmas Eve. We don’t do Santa, but haven’t come up with a proper substitute for a name.
Otherwise, our day is pretty laid back-baking {eating} cookies, and counting the hours until bedtime!
I pray your Christmas is a blessed one!

We do Secret Santa, too, but I think it’s okay to call it that. Nobody really knew who the “original” Santa was; just that he shared Jesus’ love by blessing children with gifts on Christmas morning (or so the legend goes). So, I think keeping with that tradition is fine!
This year we started using our Shepherd’s Pouches so that we collect money through our acts of service & love and then pool the money to buy a gift for needy children around the world through ministries like World Vision, Compassion, or Samaritan’s Purse.
This year we bought bed nets and chickens! (Mom and Dad aren’t very good about giving “rewards” so this will take some practice to build up…in the meantime, Mom and Dad matched their gifts to help them be able to buy enough for each child to give a meaningful gift.)
here’s the pin for the Shepherd’s Pouches:
