It’s the end of March-time to see how the goals went for the 3in30 Challenge.
Goals Done!
A Good Week
Another week?? I can’t believe another week has flown right past me. My goals are going quite well, I’m happy to report.
Study more!
I am doing better, taking the pressure off of doing “the perfect study” and just being mindful more about reading, studies, and prayer.
I think this one is doing better with me pulling away from the internet more.
The great move.
In an effort to have our whole family sleeping on the same floor of our home, we are going to be undertaking a major task.
Guest room will be emptied of all yard sale items I am never going to have a yard sale with, and the room will be painted for the three girls. The boys will all be in the same room as well. Their room will be painted, bunk beds will be purchased with tax money,
and we will be switching out our master bedroom with the classroom.
Guest room emptied. {check, except what will go to the new playroom.} Paint in the new girl’s room. {Walls check, trim is up next.} The boy’s room. {All finished!!} Bunk beds will be put together for the girls this weekend as well.
We as of right now, are NOT moving our master bedroom upstairs. I talked about being brave with this whole transition last week for Five Minute Friday.
Keep up the menu/shopping plans.
Pass and fail? I threw my tailbone out and that put a kink in my plans. We went to Subway after my visit to the chiropractor, but otherwise we have done well.
We are now limiting red meat to once a week, and we are drinking mostly water and removing most sugar. Lots and lots of salad.
How was your week? Did you finish any goals yet?
Paint and a Haircut
March is flying by, and with all the work being done around here, I hope to bask in the changes once April arrives. What are my goals for March?
Study more!
I am still not doing as well as I would like, but I am studying more. Things have been crazy busy, and my hubby was out of town for three days. Six kids and one parent, someone is always needing something, and there was only one person to answer their calls all day, every day. I did, however, study. sigh.
The great move.

Hubby painted the boys room before he went out of town. I spent my time before he left and while he was gone purging the two large bedrooms, and some homeschool curriculum. I also helped paint a closet door. {Hubby doesn’t like other people to have his paintbrush…} This is the color of the room, it’s called Liberty.
The room is now all set, the bunk beds are both here, and the bedding is all purchased. I went to Hobby Lobby and bought decor for the walls. We are all excited to see the finished product.
Keep up the menu/shopping plans.
Fail. This went great until Rick left, and I went on a road trip, and the next day took the kids for ice cream, and yesterday.
Yesterday, I was eagerly awaiting my husband, who was due any minute. I was in the kitchen getting out chicken breast when I heard a large crash. Baseballs and windows don’t go well together. I can say that although our teenager may be a lousy aim, he has a very, very good arm.
While I was busy cleaning up glass shards, our four year old was busy playing beauty shop with the craft scissors. I cried. It took me half an hour to fix her creation, and her hair is now short. If not for her little curls…
Needless to say, we ended up getting pizza and running to the church building as soon as we had scarfed it down.
Of course everyone at Bible class last night told her how cute she was, and how she was going to be a great hair dresser one day…
Why not encourage the child to do it again? Thanks everyone!
How was your week? Less eventful than mine?
Some Progress…
This week hasn’t been as productive as I would have liked, but there is progress, so I’m not sweating it.
My Goals:
Study more!
I could be doing better. My husband and I sat down yesterday to discuss how he can help me in this area. We are going to read Romans together aloud. He has extreme Bible knowledge with his preaching school classes, and I want to soak up just a little of what he has.
The great move.

So far, we have the paint, the beds and some bedding purchased. No purging done yet. I also just realized that my hubby is going to be gone for three days next week to speak at a lectureship. I knew it was coming, but I blocked it out. I don’t do time away very well.
Hopefully some purging/painting will get done.
Keep up the menu/shopping plans.
I did well this week! I made a very healthy meal plan, and we bought a ton of fruits and veggies for this week as well.
We managed to come under budget, if I don’t count the bedding. Don’t count the bedding, okay?
How was your week? What do you need to do better with? My main goal needs to be the studying. Pray for me?
Marching On…
With February so out of whack {as well as most of January} I am so ready to get back to regular life!
Study more!
I have so much to learn in the Word, and who knows how much time to learn it. I need to study to show myself approved.
I’m hoping my hubby will help me sort out some things to memorize. Ahem.
The great move.

I’m tired already!
Keep up the menu/shopping plans.
We managed to make it through a really tight month with a few pennies in the bank, thanks to crazy strict planning and shopping.
If I can do it once, I can keep doing it.
We didn’t eat beans and rice or anything, we can do this!
How about you, do you have big plans for March?
The One Where I Quit…
This month has not been great. I’ve either been in a slump, been under the weather, or both.
It’s dark, and cold and dreary. The only thing I want to accomplish each day is nothing.![]()
I think I need some vitamin d.
Here are my goals for February, and the sad truth of my progress.
Drink more water.
I’m trying, I really, really am.
Follow my daily routine.
Forget it, massive fail.
Say no more often.
Seems like the only one I can get done…
I find it hard to believe that anyone had a more lame week goal-wise than I did. Maybe next week?
No and H2O
Goals. I wonder if this year will go by as fast as 2011? I’m always grateful for 3in30, and the small steps toward a better me it brings, and even some little victories.
Drink more water.
I am probably not drinking much water for most people’s average, but I am making it a priority and drinking more.
Follow my daily routine.
I have been doing well, except today. I got no laundry done, but otherwise I did well.
Say no more often.
I stepped away from two obligations so far. I can’t say it didn’t make me a little sad, but I was relieved at the same time.
Keeping things going on this little space on the web is enough work on top of home and homeschooling. I have to live within my reality, even if it makes me sad.
How did your week go? Did you drink a lot of water? Please say no and make me feel better!
February Goals
What a month January was! It was a month made longer by being down for so long with my UTI-which I am still not 100% better from.![]()
My goals for February:
Drink more water.
Apparently I need it.
Follow my daily routine.
Life is better when the little things are done each day.
Say no more often. {especially online}
I can’t take on any more and retain what little bit of sanity I have left. I am going to have to drop my writing for other sites, which makes me sad, but my family needs to come first.
When I have to write for several other places once a month {or more} it adds up fast, especially with the reviews I already have going. I just don’t have the time to give.
Have you ever given up something you loved online? Are you happy with your decision?
Goals? I’m Supposed To Have Goals?
Here we are, three weeks into the year I was proudly blazing through, and I am at a standstill. I switched from Blogger to WordPress, and then got sick.
This week I have had to lean on my husband for meals, and help with school. I feel like a failure in every department.

Back to those goals…
1. Make Bible study a top priority. {where it belongs}
I haven’t read as much each day as I am supposed to, but I am reading. I have been taking notes and even SOAPed yesterday.
2. Make {and keep} office hours.
Right. The 404 errors alone have made that impossible, I don’t even want to get started with the train-wreck of not being able to get my comments back from Disqus yet. {I have tried it all-and nothing has worked. I was emailed finally last night this crazy fix I can do with all of this coding involved. I asked them for more help understanding, since they offered, and haven’t heard a peep since then.
3. Start a photo album.
I still can’t find my pictures, and am not ready to repurchase yet. My album sits waiting. I may have something to do with the photos for this year, but I can’t share until I have more info.
I sure do hope your week went better than mine goal-wise. If I am going to get one out of three, I’m just glad it is the Bible study.
You Win Some…
Week 2 is gone. I have some wins and some not so wins.
1. Make Bible study a top priority. {where it belongs}
Bible study has been going very well. I am switching back and forth between different studies, while doing my daily Bible reading as well.
2. Make {and keep} office hours.
Last week was a huge win-this week I have taken some things on that have made me not as accomplished in this area. I will get back to the good schedule-it works so well!
3. Start a photo album.
Ugh. I got out my album, and now can’t find my other pics for 2011. Every package I come across is either for 2010 or earlier. If I don’t find them soon, I will have to reorder. ouch.
How was your week?
