I was wondering what your thoughts of Life of Fred were. I have a 12 year old daughter who has always struggled with math. She is using the Math U See program right now. Just wondering if you felt it was a complete math curriculum?
    Thanks, Brandi

We really like LOF. I am not a fan of a huge amount of math problems, so it fits us nicely. Our oldest struggles a lot with fractions, so I have supplemented him with “Key to Fractions”. He just started, so I am not sure if the supplement is needed yet.

I am a mom of 5 and new to homeschool this year. I see you only have a few subjects for your elementary age children. Do you like to keep it more simple? Could you expand on that a little more? Next school year I will have a K, 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 8th grader, so any advice is greatly appreciated! Also its so nice to run across a mom who is homeschooling older children, for once. I see a lot out there for mothers with one or two in lower elementary, but that doesn’t help me to much :)

Pretty much every subject is covered with the Paths of Exploration curriculum, I just listed the major subjects here.

We have K, 2nd, 3rd 6th and 8th this year, as well as a PreK. How cool is that?

Ask as many questions as you need!

I have recently discovered after years of searching and asking that my 11 year son is most likely a right brain learner. He, therefore, struggles with reading. His comprehension is great when I am reading to him but when he reads alone…not so much. So I was wondering how you thought LoF would go for him.
